What a great weekend we had with the “Millers”! This is the first time we have been able to see them since we said goodbye to Dave and Sarah as they departed their wedding for their honeymoon. We laughed, we ate, we laughed some more. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire and playing catch with the baseball. Sarah still has a pretty good glove and doesn’t throw too much like a girl. She must have had a great teacher :-).
Saturday we took it real easy and enjoyed our time as Dave and Sarah made Chili out on the open fire with the Tripod/Pot provided by LaVone Miller.
Saturday afternoon we went Mini Golfing
Sunday we got up and traveled to the Lost River Cave in Bowling Green Kentucky. The awesome part here was the Cavern Nite Club ( towards bottom of page) which served locals as well as the droves of tourists traveling the Dixie Highway from 1933 until the late 1950s. Look for the chandelier in the pictures.
We woke up to a massive thunder storm on Monday morning. The thunder was so loud that it shook the cabin we were staying in. So we had breakfast and then packed as we dodged rain drops and lightning.
While it’s always hard to say goodbye, we know that we leave Dave and Sarah in Gods hands. We return home knowing that they are doing a great job in Mishawaka, In. They have a great marriage, God centered and mutual respect.
