Great week with Amanda

21 Mar

Well it’s Saturday and we had to say goodbye to Amanda and send her back to Central New York. It was an AWESOME week with her here. Although we ate way too much and looked at way too many houses, we had a lot of fun. There was always a smile in her face and a bounce in her step.

We saw Franklin and the BIG Houses, avoided the colorful people at Downtown Nashville one evening, ate dessert at Sweet CECE’s and MaggieMoos, lunch at Fiesta Azteca Mexican Grill and SATCO, dinner at Five Guys. Who could forget the Grilled HOT wings for the game Friday night? None of us could on Saturday 🙂 .

But we also walked downtown Nashville twice, Opry Convention Center and Hotel, Belmont Campus (some twice), walked to Kroger at least twice and visited the Nature Center in Bellevue. So at least we walked off most of what we ate.

It was very hard to put her on that plane, but we knew she had to go home. It would be great if she chooses to go to Belmont and join us here in Nashville, but we all know that God will put her right where He needs and wants her next fall. (we are praying that it is here).

Amanda — you are missed here!

She hasn’t stopped talking about the GREAT time she had. Thank you for having her. You are a blessing. I love and miss you. Maybe we will see you before fall semester! 🙂

Could not have asked for a better young lady. She even laughs at my bad jokes.
