Labor Day Weekend

06 Sep

Well, we come to the end of another Labor Day weekend. But, what a wonderful time we had as a family. Mom and Dad stayed through this year to enjoy the holiday weekend. David and Sarah arrived midday on Friday and were able to stay right through Monday at noon. What a great time of laughs, stories and of course fine food.

McCauley joined us for dinner on Friday evening, even though Jeremy was not able to get out of work and had to travel to Atlanta for the weekend. He did get home to enjoy Sunday evening and Monday morning with us.

The weather was superb so we were able to do most of the cooking and all of the eating outdoors on the back patio.

We did very little sight seeing, but went to the Nashville Farmers Market and Bi-Centennial Mall on Saturday Morning and Sweet CeCe’s on Sunday evening.

David bought a hammock down and put up it in the woods Friday afternoon. He found time to enjoy it throughout the weekend as his place of solitude.

Becky found time to check it out and approve it’s location looking down on the house

Mom and Dad were able to climb the hill and enjoy the fire with us. What laughter we had while we sat there eating smores and telling stories.

It is always hard to say goodbye, but we do know that God has great plans for Dave and Sarah. It was just awesome to hear her laughter, watch Dave’s love and care for her and hear the interaction between she and Jeremy.
