What a great Christmas week with a full house and many adventures.
David and Sarah arrived on Saturday the 22nd to spend the next 9 days with us. They were here for 45 minutes and off Sarah and I went on our annual “Shop for Becky’s Christmas gifts”. Yes last minute, but traditions are traditions.
Christmas eve and Christmas day were both fun and relaxing, making cookies.
Sarah decided while they were here that she wanted David to build her an Ottoman (An ottoman is a piece of furniture consisting of a padded, upholstered seat or bench, often used as a stool or footstool). So we all pitched in and helped.
Friday we spent the morning at The Hermitage.
Saturday Jeremy joined us on our journey to Leipers Fork
Arriving home in time for Wings and Syracuse University Football at the PinStripe Bowl.
Sunday and Monday were days filled with eating, laughing and just being together as a family. Playing cards, sitting around and cooking on the open fire, what a great way to finish a great week.
News Years day always brings house cleaning, decoration packing and getting the house back in order. Sad to say it also brings Sarah and Dave heading home. While we know that they are where God wants them to be, it is always hard to say goodbye.
Of course each year we HAVE to take a family picture…. and of course we remembered to take it right at the end of Monday night….who is that mystery man in the middle
