Time to help Dave and Sarah finish remodeling their master bathroom. Pack the brand new “USED” truck and head north for the weekend. What a great ride we had. Becky could see things she has never seen before because she sits so much higher in the truck. We arrived in time for bed on Thursday evening in order to get an early start on Friday morning.
Dave and his father had installed a new shower stall in the master bath a couple of weeks ago. While they were at it, they poked a hole through the wall and installed a shower head in Sarah’s bathroom as well.
Job 1 was to get the fan installed – Dads job
Tear up the old floor – Dad and Sarah’s job (Sarah is GREAT at destruction) – How’s that pry bar work now?
Install the new floor – Dave’s job – Awesome work!
Hang and mud sheet rock – Dad and Sarah’s job (actually she gets to sand and put on final coats of mud)
Install new toilet and sink – Dave’s job.. he did NICE work (of course he had to test it as well) for those of us near by.
Install Bead Board, molding and “sorta” chair rail. Should you have a chair in the bathroom? – Dave and Dad’s job
Multiple Trips to Lowes and Menards with the truck….. Becky drove one of them trips and kept us encouraged all weekend.
She really was excited about learning
how to use that sheetrock knife!
By the end of the weekend, we had the bathroom well on the way to being useful, some good laughs and Sarah’s GREAT Apple pie!
